Glock 22

I have one hour to make up my mind on this. So.......Glock 22 w/2 mags, night sights, used for $250.

I'm not a Glock person. I prefer 1911 .45's personally.

No papers on this glock.

Should I or not?

I have a Glock 23, 40 cal. I love it and have carried it every day for 4 years. I paid a lot more than $250.00, Sounds like a good deal.

I don't own a 40 but for that price I would buy it.

2nd Generation or 3rd (finger grooves)?

There are plenty of 2nd Gen police trade-ins around for about $295 retail. If the G22 is clean, in good shape, and the night sights are still hot...fair deal.

I'm going over there in a few minutes. Is the difference important. I doubt that it is a newer model, he is a local sheriff's deputy here, and pretty good neighbor.

All Glocks are GTG and they keep going. If you want a target gun I would look elsewhere. Combat is what Glocks where made for.

Thanks....I'm off to get it if the barrel is in decent shape.

A newer 3rd Gen would have all the recent upgrades including the stronger recoil block..2nd gens won't. Many prefer the 2nd gen cuz they hate the finger grooves (don't fit their hands).

I think you will be fine with the 2nd gen if you shoot 40 SW only...but Glock doesn't recommend the 357 Sig ugrade for the 2nd gen (if you even care).

Re: Glock 22

For $250 I would have already bought it.

I have carried my glock 19 for about 15 years and have about 30k rounds through it still going strong.

Heck, buy it and sell it to me, for that price. I would've done that deal on the spot.

fair deal.... especially if you're already into .40's

Re: Glock 22

OK so now I own a .40. I guess I gotta go out and get dies for my press now. Like I said I'm not a big fan of double stacked mags. But I might just be able to get used to this one if the wife don't claim it. THANKS FOR ALL THE COMMENTS.

Re: Glock 22

You can buy barrels for other calibers for that M22. The .357 Sig uses the M22 mags but the 9mm conversion barrel requires G17 mags. You can also buy a .22 conversion for it, so one pistol can be four calibers.
